Lots of prefixes and suffixes explained! I wonder if Piers Anthony meant to call his world "yellow"???

EDIT: according to this Wikopedia article on Xanth the name comes from two sources, meaning yellow (xantho- is the Greek prefix for yellow), and also from the author's name:
say it out loud: Pier-xanth-ony.
