Ya might wanna fill your tank tonight

According to WTOPnews.com, oil futures rose $4 per barrel in anticipation of Hurricane Rita, and (if I'm interpretting this correctly) wholesale gas prices (before distribution, taxes, and other markup) rose 26 cents/gallon. I presume that will be reflected by an even bigger jump at the pumps within the next 24 hours.

Of course, only time will tell, but I think I'll top off the tank tonight.

Wish I'd read/heard that earlier in the day. Don't think I actually heard more than one story on the way to or from work today, kept noticing the traffic reports (which don't much matter on my commute) tuning out before the weather started, and then just fuzzing on the radio. It was a good day for hitting the reverse button once I stuck my book on tape in as well.
