Holmes responded, "No."

Holmes, "No."
Watson, "But you know the cause?"
Holmes, "Alimentary, my dear Watson."

(okay, not worth even a groan, but I couldn't help it.)
(yes, I know Holmes never said "elementary my dear Watson" in the original stories)
