Wally: I worry that casual dress days encourage flirtatious behavior. I mean, look how adorable I am in my turtleneck sweater. How are the ladies supposed to concentrate? Do you think I should put warning cones around my cubicle?

Here is the LotR Scrapbook page which includes a very nice list of details you might have missed in the first two movies. This includes some continuity errors as well as some very nice details. Among others, it points out that if you watch carefully in the first movie, Gimli does take an axe from his comrade after breaking his on the ring.
