Yesterday, while thumbing through the recent PCMagazine, I learned about an interesting web site, keyhole.com, which uses satellite images to create the world, often down to the 1-foot resolution level. It overlays street names, shows directions, has a tilt-view so you can see terrain, etc. The downside is the 29.99 subscription fee. But it's worth seeing the demo video.
