chicken vs. egg

For years I've noted that the chicken vs. the egg was essentially a creation vs. evolution debate. Creationism would say the chicken, evolution would say the egg, since the first chicken would come from an egg, and that egg would have been laid by a bird similar to but not quite a chicken. It seems an article has been published that suggests the egg must have come first (for evolution-based reasons). I wonder if the pure-creationists will egg the authors house?
