Pretty in Pink DVD warning

In DVD news, there's a new "Everything's Duckie" edition of the the Pretty in Pink DVD, which apparently states on the cover that the original ending is included, specifically, "boasts the inclusion of the original ending in bold, unmissable letters," but according to this article it's a lie! There is a featurette about the original ending (in which Duckie gets the girl), but not the promised footage.
