Ohio tried to prevent exit polls...

Apparently, Ohio tried to hinder exit polls by preventing pollsters from approaching the voting location. Should we be surprised that a state where the exit polls were significantly different from reported results should try to disable such polls?

Fortunately, a judge has shown some sense in this matter.

Wish I was an ostrich.

I saw a bit of a show last night, about lawyer tactics surrounding the case of a woman killed at an amusement park. Not sure what show, and I only saw five minutes, and that was enough. Now we have this bill in the Senate (already passed the HR) against awarding of legal fees to winners of establishment clause court cases (i.e., cases related to violation of chuch-state separation).

I will now crawl back into my hole and pretend that I live in a world where governments make laws to protect the people rather than their wallet, people obey laws because it's the right thing to do instead of fear of punishment, and lawyers seek truth and justice rather than victory and power.
