Eeek, that sounds bad regarding the dot-coms. I'd think there'd be some way for them to take a capital loss (or something similar) the next year that would make up the difference. Still, if more and more people learn about the potential dangers of the AMT, hopefully they'll spread the word and Congress will be forced to do something about it. (I wouldn't mind seeing them spend a bit on re-vamping the whole darned tax code instead of patching it -- who do they think they are, anyway, Microsoft?)
