I've been thinking about this all day. I really hate telemarketing. I fear that unless telemarketing is banned altogether, no "do not call" list is going to help. They'll find ways to incorporate "premission to call" statements in everything -- apply for a Visa card, agree to a EULA, take out a loan, anything. Ya know those little stickers on fruit (so checkout clerks can tell an apple from a pomegranate)? I can imagine fine print on it saying "purchase of this item provides consent to be called by any company, day or night." Then if you use a Giant discount card (or Safeway, or Food Lion, or CVS, etc. -- blarsted evil things) they have you!
