Weekend started with a productive day at work on Friday, which will hopefully continue into the following week.

Went to a party Friday night where I found out that Peeps like to swim in chocolate fondue, green olives coated in chocolate are perhaps the most interesting taste (though neither good nor bad) in the universe, while marshmallows combined with green olives are perhaps the most vile.

Saturday included burning (but only slightly) an omelette to share with [livejournal.com profile] blueeowyn, but it was still tasty, and we ate it while watching Gilmore Girls on tape. Then we went to the game shelf and pulled out Talisman (imagine Dungeons and Dragons meets Monopoly), where I played an evil wizard and Eowyn the hardy dwarf. I proceeded to be turned into a toad three times in a row to blueeowyn's great ammusement. The tables were later turned as I was geased into a quest to hunt her down and defeat her!

Discovered that the cats have been using the freshly polished dining room table as a skating rink.

I also spent much of Saturday playing World of Warcraft, perhaps for about 12 hours. I've been test-driving several character types, including a human rogue, an undead mage, an orc warlock, and an elven druid.

On Sunday, I introduced blueeowyn to the game, and she played with a Tauren (humanoid bovine) huntress for a few hours until we went out for ribs at Damons (this was our belated Valentines Day dinner). Mmmmm....ribbbbssss... If BE decides she likes the game, we'll get her a separate account so we can play together.

Regarding WoW, I think it's time for me to settle on a character to play whole-heartedly, so if any of y'all play (yes, [livejournal.com profile] terlan, this means you), remind me what server you're on, and which kingom, if you're interested in adventuring some time.

I've got the day off today, but BE's at work most of the day, so I'm supposed to be studying right now, but instead I'm procrastinating. Need to gain a deeper understanding of chemometrics for work (chemical infomatics, based on linear algebra). Sigh, back to my studies I go!
