The return of the Burger King character to the chain's commercials has had an unexpected side effect. Drunks at Fest keep coming up to me (because of my garb and beard, I suspect) and saying, "hey, aren't you that Burger King?" Sigh. Drunks will be drunks, and I normally wouldn't have mentioned it, but there was one gem of a drunk woman who approached on Sunday and asked, very seriously,
"Hey Burger King, can I have a Big Mac?"

Maybe I'll arrive this weekend with whiteface, plastic nose and very oversized feet...

I realize I am questioning drunk logic here, but shouldn't they be approaching the King not you?

The king (who *does* also get this treatment) and I are both dressed in garb that (to the drunken mind) seems similar to the Burger King character in the recent commercials. Mine might be closer to the commercial, since BK is in red, I'm in rust, and the King is in off-white.

The people who do this are not commenting on the King's role or mine, just the costumes.

Oddly enough, I've only ever heard Sir Thomas mistaken for "The King"... and yeah, that happens a *lot* (especially with those nice big chairs the Kytsons have). Wonder if he's getting the BK comments as well... (and now trying to think who else has the beard that might trigger it *with* the garb combo)
