Grrrr...Microsoft....grrrr....

We recently had all of our computers "upgraded" from Office XP to Office 2003. Microsoft's Photo Editor, a part of the older office suite, is now gone. Poof. Replaced by a photo manager. You'd be surprised how often I've used the photo editor in preparing presentations.

Yes, I'm sure there are a zillion better programs out there, some probably for free or cheap. But we can't load unapproved software, and getting software approved -- well, it would be faster to paint a picture in oils, and wait for it to dry.

One of the other joyful "features" is that they took away the MS Office Shortcut Bar, too. I loved mine and used it to keep everything organized and easy to get to, but now I have to use a (admittedly halfway ok) work around.
