CG geek trivia

A lot of people turn to TRON as an important milestone in the use of computer graphics in movies. Another, less cited movie, but also an important milestone, is The Young Sherlock Holmes. Trivia question: Why?

The Answer: It was the first movie to incorporate a CGI character into live action, specifically a stained glass knight that comes to life, in 1985. Bonus trivia: Pixar did the animation of the knight.

I guessed right about the knight, but didn't know that Pixar was the animator. Cool!
