The following are from WTOP, a local news radio staion, and MSN.
A 30-year-old divorced Nigerian woman convicted of adultery will be stoned to death.
The federal "do-not-call" anti-telemarketer list has been blocked.
Donald Rumsfeld pushes the $87B for Iraq rebuilding as affordable (that's about $300 per U.S. citizen, and (if I'm not mistaken -- I might be off a bit on this, though), about 4.5% of our 2004 national budget. Thanks, Dubya.

Date: 2003-09-24 10:17 pm (UTC)Makes me want to do nasty things to him every time I hear about it... and watching him speak his piece on the news today was even worse. Anyone who votes for that idiot (he wants a state *commitee* to find out just why PEPCO and others are so incompetent... not that I'm saying they're perfect, but there are much better things to be spending money on than discovering that "oh, there are so many trees down that they have to re-build a heck of a lot" ... according to two tree companies (one of which I called 2 1/2 weeks ago for an evaluation and estimation... right before the first 2 bit t-storms) I'll be lucky to see a truck before the second week of November. Who needs a commitee to figure *that* one out?)
(and yeah, that one was on WTOP as well)
