Go to your favorite search engine and type in MEMS gallery and see what people have been making. microscopic gears and other mechanical systems no bigger than the width of a human hair. Clutches, transmissions, tweezers, etc. They're not just theoretical either! Some of them are used to make inkjet print cartridges work.

Maybe micronauts will really exist some day!
