Many password protected sites use a "confidential question" to make sure you are who you say your are. Some of these questions include your mother's maiden name, a pet's name, a favorite color. This is some of the same information the name-meme is asking.

Am I the only one who thinks this is a problem?

as i commented back, i HAD thought of that. but i don't USE any of those obvious answer-choices in my security questions or account questions for that exact reason because those things are too easy to research.

at least it's good to know i'm not the only paranoiac on the block. ;)

Interesting. Actually it never occurred to me, but it's always good to be careful of what you post online.

No, you are not, but I appreciate you pointing it out.

Of course we can still have fun with the "your Hollywood name" concept by mixing streets we have seen with last names et al.

Wysteria Sophos
Foxglove Schultz
Quarter Horse Plott
Chapel Shaw

Or stereotypical pet names
Fluffy McAdams
Pooksie Smith
She Who Must Be Obeyed Jones (though this one wouldn't need a last name)
Spot Roberts
Tyrant Sullivan

Or less common critter names + Street Name
Ling Trinity
Kandula Farm
Highway Elm
Bandaro Popler
Man o' War Sea Pearl

(all are real streets or animals or names ... just not MY animals, streets or names).
