There is a special inspector general, Stuart Bowen, who oversees spending practices in Iraq. He frequently provides information about budgetary mismanagement and discovers problems like hundreds of thousands of missing weapons or poorly constructed buildings, paid for with U.S. tax-payers' money. There are two ways to stop these reports: either fix the problems, or remove the inspector general so you can't see the problems. Guess which route the current administration is taking.
