I saw the PS3 and Wii tonight

Want want want want want...
alas...
I was at the Annapolis mall, and walked into the Electronics Boutique. They had very similar racing games on both the Wii and the PS3 -- mountain terrain, vehicle bouncing over ramps and crashing into cliffs and other cars. Typical off-road race game. But there was really no other similarity between the two. The PS3 comes as close to photorealism as I've seen in a game, including damage to the car, detailed people watching the race, smoke, landscapes. Next to it the Wii was just a cartoon. I guess that what an extra $350 gets you. Sigh.
(also, for the extreme video, you need to get a hi-res TV, probably new speakers, comfy chair, big bowl of snacks, and a dozen roses with which to fend off the spouse)
