javasaurusToday was another California Tortilla day for me, so I tried a couple more hot sauces on my burrito bowl.
Flavors of the Day
First one was Rectum Ripper, listed as heat = 8 (out of 10), primarily habaneros with a mustard base, with apple cider and ginger.
I went more mild on my second one, Apple Ass, heat = 5. I wanted to try this one because it is primarily applesauce with enough habanero to give it zing.
I went after the Apple Ass side first, fearing the hotter sauce might keep me from tasting the milder one. The applesauce made for a very sweet, very nice change to my normal "burn my head off now" motif. In fact, when I got to the Rectum Ripper, I was thinking, huh, the heat is good, the pungency is good, but I really miss the sweetness of the Apple Ass.
