Robert Irvine got fired!

The Food Network has decided not to renew Robert Irvine's contract for Dinner Impossible. Apparently, he lied on his resume.

I'd been reading about his falsifications for awhile. Doesn't surprise me that they fired him.

I've been following this. Food Network has really got egg on their faces as this is the second time this year that someone on one of their shows had to be fired for lying about their resumes. The other person was a finalist on their The Next Food NEtwork Star series who claimed to have served in Iraq.

There is an article about the latest fake memoir scandal in today's Style section in the Washington Post. The jist of it is pretty simple. Especially in this day and age of instantly finding it out on the internet it is totally ridiculous not to do some fact checking.
