Pointy-haired boss walks into Asok's cubicle.
PHB: Asok, I decided to give you a slight promotion!
Asok: Gasp! A slight promotion!
PHB: The pay will be the same but you can make your cubicle slightly larger by shaving the ragged fabric on the inside walls.
PHB: Your new title is spelled just like the old one but it's pronounced totally differetnly.
Asok: (whistles happily and scritches at cublicle walls)
This is particularly amusing to me, since I was told more than two years ago that I was getting a grade increase, just needed a couple of signatures from the office director! It hasn't happened yet, but my boss mentions it at every semi-annual performance meeting.
