Movies!

This has been a good season for fun movies, with Prince Caspian, Iron Man, Indiana Jones, Hulk, Kung-Fu Panda, Get Smart. This weekend brings two more to the mix: "Wall-E" and an Angelina Jolie action flick called "Wanted." Wall-E is Pixar's newest animated film, and critics are already praising it. Wanted, based on this Washington Post review sounds like an absolute roller coaster ride, no matter how the reviewer tries to dissuade potential viewers.

Also coming in the next few weeks, Hancock, Hellboy II, Dark Knight, Mummy, Clone Wars. And don't forget Space chimps!

I heard that Wanted is an awesome movie if you could care less about the plot. :)

Bah, plot is overrated. I figure it's something some movies use when they have insufficient budget to blow more things up!

(Really, though, there are a lot of good movies out that I didn't mention -- in particular, "Brick Lane" and "My Winnepeg" are out this week, and have gotten excellent reviews from Ebert, and both are very tempting)

We had a family date and saw Wall*E last night. We had a blast; it is a very fun movie! Yes, a little dark in spots, but a great adventure ride that had me laughing and crying, sometimes at the same time. Three thumbs up from us. :)
