i'm not on those, but... the one i'm on, plaquenil, has a risk of blindness - weird, huh?

Pretty much any strong medication has the potential for side effects in some people. The problem with these particular drugs is that the interfere with part of the immune system, and allow potentially fatal fungal infections to occur. It must be fairly serious for the FDA to issue such an alert.
