Yup... that's about what I remember from my first visit or two there that I remember the field.

Lots of improvement since :-) (though I really wish the fence and first row weren't so very close together on the one side... I'm getting tired of walking that direction, so I'm starting to guess that it's because it's so much closer, as it's not nearly as bad on the other side (not to mention I know I much preferred the other side when I was cheerleading, despite the dust, just because it was easier to move).

I remember the mud pit but didn't notice the dais at the time. It may have been back when Barchan was subjected to, "Oh, no, not the jump of death?"
