Melamine in candy

It's probably not an issue for M&Ms and Snickers, but be careful of any candy made in China. Cadburry recently issued a recall on candy made in China due to the presense of melamine, a substance which can be fatal in sufficient quantities. Here's more info:

OTOH, there aren't that many things that make it here from there from chocolate (the one scare involves pirate gold chocolate... in *Canada* only).
(lol... didn't even think about that when I hit the Asian food store today.. it's ok though... only chocolate I bought was Pocky - Japanese, not Chinese :-)
