Date: 2008-11-22 03:46 am (UTC)*g* If you're interested in the Highlights Tour, please avoid mine... heck, I have a hard enough time talking in front of all those strangers... put people I *know* in the audience and I get into bigger tongue-tied trouble (ok, not if they're lines written for me... but in this case, they're half written by me, half made up on the fly... and it's been *just* long enough ... ok... almost 12 years... more than long enough that I don't feel so confident in that tour right now... and yeah, I looked at the old tour... there's nearly nothing that's the same anymore!)
Oh! And we get to play (and let others play with) with the cotton gin, a printing press, a stereoscope, and a repro. of one of Jefferson's polygraph machines (not his invention, but owned by)... depending on time/day/person/something.... now...
I know it looks *really* neat in there... even though I haven't actually seen it *finished*... I could imagine well, and what I saw was very good, if not downright cool :-) (though I'll probably only dare the new main staircase once... maybe once.. my tours will *not* be using it!... too scary for me, even if pretty)
