Fed creates stronger credit card regs

If you feel like credit card companies are screwing the consumer, you'll be happy to know that the government has heard some of your complaints. You may have noticed that your interest rates skyrocket for no apparent reason, you get bizarro fees with little notice, or you only have 2 days to pay your bill once you receive it. The government has created rules for credit card issuers to curb many of these practices, though for some reason the new rules won't take effect until sometime in 2010.

clicky for more information

WOOT! Now all we need to do is get the other bills on board too (esp. on the time to pay the bill, I am VERY tired of having to write the check the day the bill comes in order to allow 5 business days for the mail).

That's the reason that I went cash-only some years ago. I got tired of all the CC BS.
