Stupid drivers...

It's bad enough when most people feel like it's okay to speed, roll through stop signs, run red lights, tailgate, litter, and weave through traffic.

Today, I'm in the left of a pair of left turn lanes, and my arrow turns green, so I start to go. I slam on the brakes, however, as the idiot in the other left turn lane cuts across my path to make a U-turn. They stopped for a second when they realized I was about to t-bone them. Fortunately I stopped in time, and they zoomed away, probably cursing me, because they probably felt that I should have known they were making an illegal u-turn.

... Must be related to the idiot driving the first "Smart" car I've seen in the area... saw it yesterday, just as she ran the red light *right* in front of me (thank goodness I knew no one was in the left lane at the time, and I'm fast)... oh, and y'know how that's a two-seater? I guess she didn't want to risk her kid in the "Front seat" of a car... because the kid was in the back of the car... so if I *hadn't* been able to avoid her, the kid would have been rather hurt because idiot lady thought that it was safer to stick kid where there isn't a seatbelt (and it's illegal in MD) than to belt the kid into a "front seat". And yeah, she did an illegal left lane to right off-ramp just a smidge over a block later.

(can we get the tire leak makers yet? *two* flat tires might slow them down for a bit... but sudden flats wouldn't be a good idea when they're *this* stupid)

This is why they don't allow front-mounted missiles and grasers on cars. *damn*
