My mouse was being a little sticky on the mouse pad, so I turned it over to check the ball.

I nearly blinded myself, because it's an optical mouse!

I've done that a few times... doesn't help that in this house we've got both types - so trying to remember which you're using on the fly, when not really paying attention...

Or worse... same problem at the schools. And yes, we're talking mice with tails, not those that will walk off.
