computer woes continue

I think I've posted about how my main home computer keeps freezing.
Details
By freezing, I mean I can move the mouse, possibly select a desktop icon, but not open files or run programs. Freezing will occur after a few hours of running idle, or faster if I'm actually doing something. I've tested the hardware (CPU, mobo, vidcard, PSU, memory), and it all passes. Removing the wireless hardware does not prevent the freezes. So probably a software glitch. Turned off all unnecessary startup routines. Still freezes. Tried boot-up, but no login and left it -- sure enough, froze.
All the important files are saved, so I'm going to reformat and reinstall.
Here's my question: Once I reinstall, I'll need to reload my antivirus (always antivirus first! even before connecting to web!) and Office, etc. Will I need to do anything special to convince the program (or the company) that I'm not violating licences? Or just reload everything as if it's the first time?
