Another question about bits

Yesterday BE and Xi were having a bit of discussion about bits. One of BE's posts started...

Basically there are 3 types of bits:
Direct action - aka snaffle
Leverage action - aka curb
non-bit - can be a bosal, side-pull, hackamore, e tc.


My question, based on previous posts of the aforementioned equiphiles is, which of these bits is the kind that dangles?

Bosals have the knot dangling below the head. Curbs are often used with drapped almost dangling reins.
