Speed cameras, PG and Montgomery Counties

Maryland legislature approves speed cameras in Montgomery and PG counties. They'll only be in low-speed zones (35mph or lower), especially around schools. The stated reason is to curb the high number of vehicle-pedestrian accidents in those counties.

Date: 2004-04-07 09:26 pm (UTC)And I've noticed security type cameras on Rt. 29, just south of the Martin Rd/Shaker Drive exit. Northbound it's just a camera. Southbound has a camera, a light pointing down towards the left two lanes that's rather bright and irritating at night, and a third thing below that looks an awful lot like a timer or some such...
