Yea! D.C. has won an award of which it can be proud! Makes me glad I live here, and spending five days in Salt Lake City has made me appreciate DC all the more. Why the joy, you ask? DC has again achieved the top spot as murder capital of the U.S.!

"D.C.'s murder rate, based on the number of killings per 100,000 residents, is more than twice that of Los Angeles, and six times worse than New York City."

Weight Loss, week 13

My preparations for the AAPS conference in Salt Lake City, along with the per diem based steak and shrimp dinners, have resulted in a major setback in my diet plan. 236 pounds! grrr...

I figure that a week of proper eating, lots of water, and no Halloween candy will set me back on track. But the shrimp were really, really good...
