Rant 2: Bank of America credit card rates

Admittedly, this one doesn't directly affect me, I don't have a Bank of America credit card.
Apparently, Bank of America is really jacking up their credit card rates to as high as 25 or 28%, for customers who make payments on time, and have great credit ratings. They sent the notice out about a month ago, and indicated that you have to notify them by something like Feb 18, in writing, if you intend to close your account and pay-off at the current rates.

Date: 2008-02-08 07:16 pm (UTC)how is that NOT considered loan sharking? my god. here i thought my 21% Sears card i had in the olden days of (what i considered to be) my too-high credit card debt was outrageous. that's absolutely unreal. unfrickenbelievable.
i'm so glad i only have one card. i'm doubly glad is it NOT Bank of America!!!
